About the Program
This video will quickly take you through some of the most important topics and questions we receive when beginning the CodeWizards Program. It is recommended to bookmark this page for future reference.
FIND A PRACTICE TIME IN THEIR SCHEDULE.
One of the most important things you can do for your student is to make sure they have fixed time during the week to complete their practice project(s) and quiz. Our program teaches key coding concepts with our live instructors, but it is the problem solving and work they do on their own after class that truly solidifies the understand.
IF THEY MISS A CLASS, PLAN THE TIME.
We get a lot done in every session, and each lesson builds on the previously learned material. If a class is missed it is important for your student to make it up some time in that week or else they will be behind. There are many resources to assist, including recorded videos, our community, and office hours with an instructor.
ASK ABOUT AND SHARE THEIR PROJECTS.
In every class students will be building fun, interesting, and interactive projects. Talk to them about the project they built that week and ask them to show and explain it to you. All projects are live on our student domain, so give them a pat on the back and then encourage them by sharing the project with friends and family.
