Scratch Music Jam
One 1-Hour Session
Music and code aren’t related, right? No, wrong! You might not realize many of your favorite music producers today produce music on their computers. Some music producers even learn coding to improve their production abilities. Now, what if we could use music to teach coding?
In this one hour session, we will use Scratch to create a fully working virtual music band. Students will have the capability to add their own favourite musical instruments and students then use they keyboard and mouse to play those instruments. They could even start their own music band and release singles, right on their home computers!
Eligibility:
- Ages 8 – 12
- Only for elementary students; students who are currently in any Scratch course

Kids today love expressing themselves with avatars, bitmojis, and animojis. They are a fun digital way to show people who you are.
